Sweet Pleasures
If you read Miei Pensenaris on my work of art title ‘Muladhara,’ then you are familiar with where the inspiration came from. So no need to repeat twice.

This is the softest of the pieces both in color and vibrancy. Actually, it might be a tie with the crown but I digress.
The sphere was painted new, I wanted new lines, new waves, new vibrations. I like to think by rotating the sphere in this more vertical view is added to the effect of “light within.” A sweet and supple, honest balance was struck here.
The background I had the most difficulty with, I really wanted to bring in the floral aspect of the chakras, to sort begin to bring forth this blossoming of the self. This is the process when working upon the chakras in the linear order of bottom to top. As we climb higher the flower opens more and more. Fully enveloping the symbolism of the lotus, which is ‘to come forth from the mud'‘
That said the difficult bit, was trying to find a good pattern, that didn’t seem clunky or funky, because of this dilemma, it actually caused this to be the longest work to complete.
After some fiddling, a good balance was achieved, a harmony of sorts. The white circles really tied it all in.
You’ll notice a distinct difference between the energy line of this work and the rest.
The colors are flipped. Dark and light in reverse, in fact in here there is no bright vibrant white in the center at all. I didn’t intend this intentionally, but when I realized what came out I sat with it for some time and it simply felt… right.
Only furthering this idea of… softness. That being said…
This entire piece embodies softness. Which makes this unique. you what the sacral chakra represents is sexual energy, more so than that the pleasures of life. We are inherently sexual beings, which means everything in life is orgasmic. life is one big orgasm. However, those pleasures are to enjoy in moderation, too much distracts the holy trinity from being able to enjoy the pleasures of true sustenance, that of the subtle energies.
This is where the softness comes in. These subtle energies are just subtle. they don’t demand your attention but like this here sacral chakra it is ever and always present. NO less potent.
